Start by solving one annoyance, not by lining up every feature. Use it, and what you actually need shows up.

Make the first step small#

Before building every idea, pick the moment that gets in the way most often. Even a tool that only keeps a note has a job, if you can use it every day.

The first shape should make the use obvious, and should handle what you typed without dropping it.

The reason for a decision is part of the work#

A finished screen hides the hesitation. What you postponed, why you removed a step, what failed. A short build log carries the background of the work.

This site will keep finished pieces and the record of the middle together.

Pick a shape you can continue#

Don't make one update too large. Write only what changed. Then building and recording can both continue.

This article is a sample of how a build log sits on the site.
